Apologies once more for the smaller update, but things have been pretty stagnant as of late, as we waited for everyone to figure out everything. As we approach the final two weeks of the internship, everything seems to be wrapping up. We were not able to meet in person this week to go to the archives, but we did have a meeting after the last main internship meeting of the semester. These last few weeks, we will be focusing on filling in the object labels and creating our presentation for the internship showcase. The labels were created in Canva, which is good since I have become quite familiar with the program over the course of my college career. The object labels will correspond with the objects that they are associated with to go into the display case. In terms of the showcase, luckily, since I have done an internship showcase in the past, I already know what to expect and what is expected of us for the slideshow. I am excited to see everyone's projects within the program, and I am glad that the presentation is more about just sharing and having a not so stressful time. This week's final full internship meeting focused on what is expected of us for our presentations, as well as our final review of what everyone has been working on. I am excited but nervous about the end of the semester. For the time being, I will be starting a job for the summer as well as the fall. It is not in history, but it will give me something as I work towards my future. Hopefully, I will be able to start the public history master's program in the spring. But you never know where life is going to take you. I am forever grateful for the experiences that I have made here, and the people make everything worth it. I hope to work with them again in the future.
