This is the last week of the internship and everything has been wrapping up. We worked on our presentations this week and I created my script for what I wanted to say for the presentation. We met on Wednesday to go through each component of the presentation and to wrap up the semester as a whole. As we approach the end of the semester, the realization of graduation is hitting very hard, but I know it will be exciting for the next chapter of my life. I aim to apply for the master's program for next spring, so this next semester will be a good break to focus on working and continuing to grow my resume. After spring break it was time to get back to work on the exhibit. This week, we focused on finishing the rough draft for our narrative texts for the exhibit. This week, we did not have a field trip, instead we had a regular Zoom meeting on Wednesday to give an update on what everyone has been working on. It was interesting hearing what people in other groups have been working on, such as in-person interviews. We also discussed what we believe to be unspoken rules in the workplace, for example, knowing how to balance work and life. For example, higher-ups sending emails outside of work hours. We learned how to use the big scanner for artifacts, as well as the smaller side with the portable scanners. This week, we continued our training with transcribing and metadata. I completed the transcription practice before the meeting on Wednesday and reviewed the articles. The practice was a good review. During the meeting, we had a Microsoft Teams exercise in which we created our own folders and added images within them. After, we had a metadata exercise to practice the metadata sheets.
